Regarding Commissions
04/22/2008 @ 12:30AM
Within approximately one month's time, I'll be moving out of this tiny San Francisco apartment to a much bigger (and cheaper) place back in Texas. This will give me the space I need to "set up shop" and start focusing on the projects a bit more than I'm able to now. It's a very sudden and stressful move. That being said, I will not be able to accept any commission work and/or work on much of anything until after we've moved and the dust has settled. This will likely take a few months. I'll definitely make some kind of announcement here once that time comes. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

On a side note, the undisputed "mod god" Ben Heckendorn has chosen the Super Genintari as his "Hack Pick of the Week"! Very cool stuff. His site (www.benheck.com) is an excellent source for game modding and is host to a strong community of people that enjoy this kinda stuff. Give it a look!

Your Attention, Please!
04/14/2008 @ 10:00PM
Some people seem confused as to my intentions for the Super Genintari, why I did/didn't do certain things to it, et cetera. I'd like to take a moment to clear some of that up before things get out of hand.

I'm well aware of emulators. In fact, I've probably been using them longer than most of you have had hair in your "special places". That isn't the point. I built it for ME, for my own reasons. That being said, I do not intend to sell it. Someone would have to offer me a ridiculous sum of money to convince me to part with it. I do NOT intend to mass-produce it. This would infringe on several different copywrites and land my ass in more trouble than I can afford. I MAY consider building them for people on commission in the future, but I'd have to drastically streamline the process and it wouldn't be cheap considering the time and labor involved. And honestly, I'd rather just help inform people on how to build one for themselves. That's where the fun is anyway and it's one of the main reasons I built it in the first place. I'm just a guy that doesn't take himself too seriously, has a hobby that he loves and enjoys sharing with other like-minded folks that might be interested. I'm not trying to get rich, I'm not trying to be some kind of "mod god" and I'm not demanding any kind of respect. I just like dinking with stuff and knowing that some people are seeing it. That's enough to keep me going.

I hope this has been informative. Now for Christ's sake, turn the computer off and go create something!

The Super Genintari! (AKA "Leviticus")
04/13/2008 @ 3:00AM
The "Leviticus" project is finally complete, under the name of "Super Genintari". Anyone that's been following my work for a while knows I've been working on this thing for ages and I'm happy to finally be done with it.

Transparent bronze acrylic casing, one power cord, one A/V hookup, all official hardware, hand-built.

The 'Projects' section has been updated accordingly. Check it out!

Oh, and there's a YouTube video too.
